craigthom
For the nerdy like me. I'll update as I get more. Sometimes the addresses just don't do the job. I got these today:Maker's Mark37.6476,-85.3500Four Roses Warehouses37.9215,-85.5884Jim Beam37.9310,-85.6535If you can't easily punch the numbers into your GPS, or if you don't have one, you can just copy the coordinates into Google Maps. pepcycle
These are great. I've been a Geocacher for years and love to use my GPS whenever I get a chance. We should start a GPS coordinates Bank. We need the Gazebo ASAP.
callmeox
We should settle on a more user friendly format for the coordinates.The WGS84 Datum and the HDDD MM.MM format are easy to understand:Hemisphere Degrees Minutes.minutesMaker's Mark37.6476,-85.3500 orN 37 38.856 W 85 21.000 Four Roses Warehouses37.9215,-85.5884 orN 37 55.290W 85 35.304Jim Beam37.9310,-85.6535N 37 55.860 W 85 39.210By my approximation, The Gazebo would be at about:N 37 48.600 W 85 28.

craigthom
I'll grab the Gazebo the next time I am in Bardstown and have time. I drove right by KBD and Heaven Hill but didn't think to stop. Those coordinates are from the parking lots at the locations. I got a cute little widget for my phone that emails (or texts) the current coordinates when I tell it to.I can extra them from my Garmin GPS, but it's a bit of a pain. This is much easier.I left off the altitude data. There was a surprising change (563 ft to 438 ft) between Four Roses and Jim Beam. The parking lot outside the gate at Four Roses is on a bit of a hill. And there's the margin of error. The phone can be twenty or more meters off, although the dot on Google Maps is usually closer. Mike R
I'm new to the GPS game, but have downloaded the "Bourbon Trail" from the POI Factory website. The trail includes POI's for Four Roses, Jim Beam, Heaven Hill, Markers Mark, Wild Turkey, Woodford Reserve, and Buffalo Trace.I have not used them yet, but they appear to be accurate and each one includes address and telephone number.Hope this helps.Mike
Beakerboy
Wikimapia has a huge list of current and past distilleries:http://wikimapia.org/beta/#lat=37.9160343&lon=-85.8883667&z=9&l=0&m=h&tag=7369Each red dot is a distillery.
NeoTexan
Log on to POI-FACTORY.COM and they have Kentucky Bourbon Trail as a downloadable file to load onto your GPS. I have never checked to see if it is accurate.-85.6534 37.92576 Jim Bean-85.4632 37.79322 Heaven Hill -85.3538 37.64576 Makers Mark-84.8686 38.21265 Buffalo Trace-84.8494 38.03703 Wild Turkey-84.8934 37.97409 Four Roses -84.7836 38.08908 Woodford Reserve
