Yesterday I had ORVW 10 107 and WTAS. I am not impressed over the later at all. I did actually look for a thread to comment that but I couldn’t find any. Anybody knowing if there is any such thread?

I cracked a Frankfort Centennial and i was a little under whelmed - maybe i put too much expectation on it.quote]

I felt the same way about this bottle when I first opened it, but it opened up nicely for me -- I ended up liking it much better than the ORVW 10/107 or lesser Wellers. Keep at it.

Oscar, You're confusing me. I don't know if you're being repetitive, or redundant. :slappin:

Keep up the good work. Patapatapatapat! Joe

Hey, you ever bowl a 300?

Also, I'm gonna hit hit The Windy city in June.

You gonna be around?

Joe at Binny's is.

I have bowled one 300 game so far. Back in 2001. It's funny, most people bowl some 298's or 299's before they bowl a 300. I did it backasswards. I bowled my 300, then a couple of 299's. Go figure. It'll really be luck if I bowl another one though. I'm not as serious as I used to be. I'm having more fun, and drinking bourbon that I bring with me in my flask. I'll PM you about June. Thanks for the heads up. Joe

Going upta camp for the long weekend, so it'll be the OGD 86 I left up there last fall for the next few days. In my best recollection, I like it better than the BIB, but not as much as the 114 -- I thought it was fruity, but I was pretty noob.

In case someone has been dipping into my camp stash (unlikely), I'm also traveling up there with a Dickel 12 in tow -- for some reason it just strikes me as a "camp whiskey." I like to go up there into the woods and pretend it's 50 yrs ago . . . listen to old-timey music, make percolated coffee . . . somehow Dickel fits into that aesthetic for me.

Also with me will be my 6 oz. "Flask of Shame" which currently consists of a mixture of Old Overholt, Evan Williams Black, Russell's Reserve 90, Ezra Brooks 90 & Rittenhouse BIB.

See y'all when I get back . . . if I come back.

Yep! All of the stuff that I couldn't bare to finish . . . funny part is that it seems to taste better all muddled together than separately . . . whatever works.

Our long lost buddy, Gary Gillman, would be so proud. :D

Just got to hang out with David Perkins from High West, and tried Rendezvous rye , a 16 yr old rye, and a 21 yr old that had been aged in used barrels. All quite nice, but the 16 was outstanding.

Currently sipping a neat pour of ETL. I'm plotting an EWSB Manhattan for dessert later. :D

VW Lot B followed by ORVW 10/90...should have gone the other way around as I was spoiled by the Lot B. I don't care who you are...that is a mighty fine bourbon!
