Parker's Heritage Collection 2008 96 proof, neat.

But after the 2007 122.6 proof this is a major let down, not only taste but proof and price.

Enjoying some lovely, buttery, voluptuous Virginia Lightning. As good as unaged Corn gets.

Mellow Corn BIB is quite charming and revealing.

The best of all the corn's and none aged whiskeys, I think.

I really like the Mellow Corn too. Very smooth and sweet. Sneaky little bastard at 100 proof, too. It is aged in used cooperage, I think, for 4 years.

Basil Hayden's in a mint julep. Gotta get rid of this stuff so I can open more bottles.

EWSB '97. This one is starting to open up nicely. I found it ridiculously hot, especially for the proof, just after opening but some air seems to be agreeing with it.

Enjoying some OC 8 tonight. Underproofed and a bit watery, but it was on sale. And not awful.

WOW, just cracked the WTAH and i had pour it out! It just like red satgg is way to sickly sweet (and i love sweet things). It was like bad cough syrup

Had a neat pour of WR and then a KC Manhattan at the gig. That WR's not bad juice at all...

JD silver select before dinner and ORVWFRR after yesterday. The JD from 2008 defiantly tasted better.

Last night I alternated between OWA 7/107 and Whitehouse Weller Centennial ... this one I'm still trying to figure out -- it has that Centennial taste but it's clouded by some other flavors not readily recognizable . . . great wood in the finish though.

Had a my first pour of FR Yellow, then moved on to ETL which was a noticable improvement in flavor and finish and then onto BT which was a good capper.
