I have a couple guys coming over later for a casual tasting session.

With the idea being a.) What I have open on hand and b.) leaders to followers we will be doing:

Bulleit

ER 10/90

OGD 114

Handy

I have to figure out the pour amounts. I know one of the guys will make it through but the other is a bit of a lightweight.

Had a small pour of 98 EWSB when I got home from work. I might be able to finish the bottle off tonight. :skep: Joe

A healthy pour of OWA last night. This is the perfect bourbon when you want some dessert but there's nothing to have.

Two ponys of BH and one of JB8. The weak vs. the one-dimensional.

Last night I alternated between OWA 7/107 and Whitehouse Weller Centennial ... this one I'm still trying to figure out -- it has that Centennial taste but it's clouded by some other flavors not readily recognizable . . . great wood in the finish though.

Andy,

I have a couple bottles of the Whitehouse Centennial. Question is....do you like it?

Four Roses Yellow label while watching some hoops.

For those who have had both the Whitehouse and Premier bottlings of Centennial, how do they stack up??

addendum

One of my porch friends brought a bottle of Lot B.

So I finished the night with some Lot B followed by a bit of the Willet 7 year old.

The Willett is good, but needs a little time to open up. Yes, more please.

I'm enjoying one of my first days off in a long time with a bottle of WLW 2006, a couple Willetts, and an Old Fitz BIB (SW)

AAAAaaaaahhhhhhh.........

Throw in Lisa's #2 and I'd rank 'em this way.

1. Lisa's #2

2. The Premier Group

3. Whitehouse #1

But that is not to say anything negative about the last one.

As I said before, the Whitehouse #1 is actually a 12yo and tastes like a Pappy 15.

We hit up our favorite watering hole this evening and I helped myself to a number of WT101 whiskey sours. When made properly, it is my favorite Summer drink hands down.

Started, by ripping open another ER 101. Following up with BT. Buffalo Trace has their namesake in my "wheelhouse", as of late. It's absolutely, fabulous. :yum:

Sipping a neat pour of ETL. I'm always impressed with this juice every time I have it...BT is putting out some fine whiskey these days.

Yesterday it was FR 120, OGD 114 and JD silver select. The JD tasted best but the OGD isn’t to play with ether.

A Fat Tire, to wet my whistle. Now, on to Pure Kentucky XO. Strange beast, this one. This is my third night with it, and I can't get a handle on what's going on with it. I like it...I think...yes, I like it...but....

More tasting is in order. :)
