Went dusty hunting with Drunkonjack this afternoon and it yielded deals that were too good to pass up...I told myself I wasn't going to buy anything but I knew that wouldn't happen. I came home with a number of good ones.

3 ER 10/90 @22.99ea

1 EWSB 1989 @29.99

1 EWSB 1990 @29.99

1 EC 12 @ 20.89

1 ETL Gold Wax Top @ 22.99

1 375ML Bulliet @7.89

Still haven't found the ER 10/101 that I'm lusting after...I'll keep hunting though! Does anyone know if the 1989 or 1990 EWSB is considered a good year...they had 2 more 1989's and 3 more 1990's there...was considering picking up some additionals if they were good years.

Picked up another WTRR101. WTRB has crept up to the same price point as this now so it is a no brainer when going for a premium WT.

picked up an ER 10/90 for 20.99 in NH. Not a bad pour, prefer the WT 101 though for the price point.

Stopped by the NH liquor store after a long day trip to Rhode Island and back, picked up a bottle of 1792 Ridgemont Reserve for 20.99, was really tempted to get another bottle of ER10 at the same price but I wanted to try something new. Also got a bottle of OGD BIB for 13.99. Deal of the day though, Rain Vodka for 8.99.

Crap!! First, it's Downtown D's girlfriend (actually, ONE of his girlfriendS) is buying him Pappy 15. Now, YOUR girlfriend is buying you Pappy 23!! Dang, you guys got it good. I gotta get me a girlfriend. Wait...I have a wife..... Huh, as I think of it....if she were to actually bring me a Pappy 15 or 23, I'd be getting pretty suspicious...:skep:

At any rate Cyg, like Joe said, you got some keepers there. Well done.

Weller 12, WT 8, Vintage 21 rye, Rittenhouse BIB, JDSS 10-16-07 and WTRRR. The silver is from a barrel I have had before and its one of the best so far. Rittenhouse had as I suspected no DSP number on the label due to the fact that it’s no low that say it must have here. I like most things about American whiskey, but I don’t like the tactic to put out as little accurate information as possible on the label.

I found a bottle of misprinted Ridgewood Reserve today while in Orlando...my problem is getting it home. Does anyone know what the best route to go would be getting it back to Chicago? Thanks!

UPS or FedEx it to your house or someone you know.

Yep, that's what I would do, too. You should get by for under $20. Pack it well, though.

BTW, that's a pretty good find considering the years, and that it apparently survived the shelf-clearing purge.

Also, IMO, this is one you could/should "collect", without any reservations, or guilt.

When I found stuff on vacation in Florida, I just packed them in my suitcase. Put them in large zip lock bags, then wrapped jeans around them. Made it home with no problem. Joe

Did you have to declare it when you checked your luggage? I didn't buy it today but you guys have me thinking I might need to make a trip back to pick it up...I have a couple 1792's in the bunker but I thought that a Ridgewood Reserve would be kinda cool to have. :)

Yeah saw that...I travel almost every week for work so I avoid checking bags at all costs...adds about an hour to my trip as I usually get stuck waiting forever for my bags. This one actually has me contemplating checking...it seems that they were pulled from the shelves in 2004 when the ruling went against them. It would be very cool to have one of these...although I would have to hid it from the drunks that frequent my bar! :D

Yea that's one I wouldn't want to crack open that one would be a display piece.

I picked up a bottle of (I know it's not Bourbon) Jack Daniels Single Barrel but didn't notice until the lady at the register gave me my Ducks Unlimited leg band ( for the duck not me)that it was there Ducks Unlimited Edition.

I drank a bottle of Old Charter Ducks Unlimited and George Dickel Ducks Unlimited circa 1996. I later saw a full bottle of the George Dickel sell on E-bay for over $150. Considering it was an off bottle of Dickel and had some bad flavors, I started kicking myself for drinking it. But it looks nice in the shop with the rest of the bone yard of bottles.

I think I'm going to break down and pick up a bottle of Bernheim Wheat today. I've been wanting to try it for a long time but the price tag has kept me from doing so (around $40 in most local stores). For the same price I can score some of my very favorites but the pull to try it has gotten the better of me.
