OscarV
Elijah Craig 12yo, yesterday. It went down like this.A couple of weeks ago I was reading Malt Advocate and they did a review of Ardbeg Corryvreckan and the tasting notes were so hideous that I decided that I'd have to get one. Also in that issue I saw a store in Kalamazoo that is in their Malt Whisky 300 Plus Club, Tiffany's Wine And Spirits. So a trip to K-Zoo was on.They didn't have the Ardbeg Corry but I found the EC12 with the same bottom bottle numbers of one I got about a month ago that was the best EC12 I have ever had.To round out the road trip we looked up and found Fandango Tapas Bistro. They have 44 Tapas selections! It is a bistro that has the tastes and wines of the Mediterranean coast of Spain.I had a couple of Mojitos and my Bride had Sangria that they make.We however didn't have the Rabbit and Rattlesnake Sausage, (next time) but the lamb, chicken and mixed vegtables were great. You gotta download the menu, it's fun to look at.http://www.fandangotapasbistro.com
IronHead
With news of the release of this year's Van Winkle offerings I decided to stop by a store on the way home from my monthly weekend shift. I picked up a Lot 'B' for 49.99 since my bottle is on its last legs. On the way home I fell to wondering about the 50 dollar price point vs. the 53 dollar price on the PVW 15. Sure, I like it a lot. But it really got me to thinking about the Van Winkle marketing strategy of "Make a good product and keep it in short supply". Could (or do) other brands get away with charging virtually the same price for bourbons that are separated by 3 years in age and 8.5 % in ABV? p_elliott
At the KBF I got a JPSR 17, ETL, FR Mariage 2009, and a trade for a WT 101 12 yr split label. I thought I was a very good boy I could have spent easily double or triple that.

p_elliott
I forgot I picked up the BT Cream Liqueur for my wife she didn't like it. I guess I'll have to drink it, add a little vodka and emerita to this you'll have a really nice drink and a bad hangover.

Let me know if there is anything that your looking for and I will begin the hunt! I'm in Chicago so shipping shouldn't be too bad. Thanks, I picked it up for $30 a bottle. I am actually going to be in Chicago for a convention next Wednesday thru Monday. I will be staying in Rosemont by the convention center. I can grab an extra bottle or two if you want, as long as they are still there. Trying to find a bottle of Dry Fly Whiskey to try, does Binny's happen to have any left?
