Been really enjoying WRMC SO while my wife watches some chick flick on cable.

PA, that's what I get too, with the OGD114. I liken it to the slightly burnt corners in the brownie pan. :yum: And dangit, I'm out of it. Argh!!!! I hate to make a bourbon run this minute, but you've got me cravin' the old coot, now.

It made me think of smelling an open tin of cocoa-the kind you mix with milk. I have for some reason an idea that this bourbon could dissapear. If I got a whiff of that being true I might have to bunker some of this.

Opened a Wild Turkey Lore series II decanter last night. This bottle is from the early 80's...for all you decanter skeptics out there, do me a favor just leave them out there for me! This is some full bodied Turkey, I decanted it into a pewter top WTKS bottle but the fullness and roundness of this bird is amazing! Half a glass tonight and my wife walks by the back door a few feet away and says "You smell like a Bourbonite!" Yummy

Opened a Baker's tonight. I know it's not one of the latest and greatest on the market, but I sure do like it. I'm hoping that with all the changes going on with Beam, they'll seriously look into expanding their small batch offerings.

It's been a long day for me which usually leads to a long night:lol:

Started with an ND Old Taylor. Then decided I was going to spend the rest of the night in Wellerville. Poured myself a couple unces of Binny's Weller 12. It was so good that I had a moment. After cleaning myself off, I poured myself a Larue 07. So, so good. God Bless America:usflag:

I went with Weller 12 last night trying to kill my open bottles before I get my Binny's Weller 12... I'll probably toast my own day tonight with some Pappy.

I had my first pour of Julio's RHF 2008 batch last night...my initial impression was that I was somewhat disappointed as it was a litle rough on the finish...I'm going to attribute this to the pistachio nuts that I was eating right before though...As I got a little deeper into the pour it really became quite good...so good that I had a second! Not wanting to drink all I have of that I moved onto ER17 2008 and I have to say that I actually prefered the Julio's RHF's. I finished the night with a pour of old trusty ORVW 10/107. It was a good night!

Went to a local dive last night to see my friend's band and the only thing they had behind the bar was Jim Beam White (and Jack Daniels). What is this world coming to when you can go into a bar and not find Wild Turkey!?! It's not that I hate JBW, but I can't see the point of spending $4 a shot on something that is bland, when the same $4 buys me a pint of Newcastle Brown Ale, which is what I ended up drinking all night.

I was enjoying a little OC10 that a fellow member gifted me and, while enjoyable, I felt that it was missing something . . . I vatted in just a touch of Julio's SB OWA and man, this is a tasty beverage . . . round and full, sweet & woody -- this might happen again.

The Greenhouse? Neat place in a cool little neighborhood. There's a couple other good restaurants on 4th, including one of Michael Symon's joints.

I'm savoring a pour of WT Tribute after volunteering at a local H1N1 "POD" all day today on behalf of my ham radio club.

Finishing up the weekend with a solid pour of 2004 Stagg. It's simply stunning. I also swear that I'm getting more than just a subtle passing of........blueberry? Delicious stuff. So, to tell the truth, as I must ammend my initial statement; I guess I'm finishing up the weekend with a solid pour....plus another.
