Last year was MM and BT. At BT we had a tasting at the lab, lunch with Harlan, Truman, Drew, etc... and a hard hat tour with Freddy. It Was a great day. We plan to go every year and hit a couple distilleries and a horse race. tim

Last night overindulged just slightly...

Started off with the last pour out of my dusty OGD, moved on to WLW 07, finished with a head to head of two different 4R1Bs.

The most shocking thing was that I managed to be pretty productive last night too!

Hitting some '09 Handy, neat. Egad! Either this has opened up nicely since I last had some two weeks ago or I'm just in a Handy mood. This stuff is rockin' it today. I added a couple drops of water, but it didn't seem to do anything . . . why mess with perfection?

I am loving the Handy (2008). I think this one is really overlooked. NH still has a bunch. People go gaga over Stagg and WLW (as do I) but forget that this puppy is easy to find, still around, and fantastic!

Looks like there's still another one left at the NH store near you, too, from the case you split.

hehe I know.... I'm starting to regret leaving it on the shelf. I only grabbed 2 because I already had some bunkered from last year etc... besides I was at my spending limit that day. I want to buy so much but that voice in my head (i.e. my wife's) keeps telling me to be reasonable. :rolleyes:

Yes, good news Sir!

I will toast you later with something better than my current pour.

I am starting with RHF. Tonight I dislike this pour. It is hot and tastes of cheapness, no rich mouthfeel. Oh well.....

Now I'm editing it. After letting it breathe I like it again.... what a weird pour the RHF is. I have a love-hate with it I guess.

Now I've switched to Handy 2008.... this stuff is liquid cinnamon candy spice!

Had a HH BIB just to polish the bottle, then had a wonderful pour of WTRB, whilst wastching Seinfeld, could life be better?!?!

I did have JDSS before dinner yesterday and WT 8 in a paper mug from my pocket bottle at a theatre yesterday. Both tasted good. The day before that I had WT101 from 1992 and uncut 15 years HH from Cadenheads. A bit surprisingly the very punchy Cadenheds bottle tasted much better that particular day.

Last night it was FR Yellow x 2, Binny's ETL x 3...

Today it was Old Fitz BIB, IW Harper, AAA, and WLW 2009...

I think tonight will be a RHF night! :D
