Ruby K
really glad to hear your news, John, that's great! We celebrated our first big shabbos meal in the new apartment, so after dinner, i poured a couple drams of Pappy 20. was gonna follow it with the Park Ave Liquor FRSBBS but Pappy was fantastic and just the right way to end the day. nor02lei
I did have a good drinking day yesterday with WT Rare breed and RR101 before dinner and WT 8 and uncut HH 9 years from Cadenheads after dinner. The 8 years was partly consumed with nut ice cream with matched perfectly. Everything tasted fantastic good. I think it was one of those days when the taste buds were really on top. I do recall from my athletics days that I did have that kind of days (when it came to physical performances) then as well. Leif

SBOmarc
Combination of factors that brought me to the decision. Actually had zero alcohol until last evening when I caved and had a cold beer from my keg. I will PM with details.

JamesW
I am 2 weeks and 5 days into no smoking. Almost caved in last night.Keep the faith, I am now at 5 years after smoking for about 20. When the cravings got bad I'd just laugh and say "Is this as bad as it gets?" and when I did that the craving would subside somehow....Good luck! ErichPryde
A friend was looking for a bottle of ERSB to keep on hand at his house for me, and couldn't find one, and got really generous- he ended up buying a bottle of Blanton's that was dumped in January 2009. This bottle is especially good! some of the scotch-like notes I remember are absent, and it is overall just a much stronger and better bourbon than I remember it being. nor02lei
It has been a Tennessee night this day with Dickel CH before dinner and JDSS after, partly with the apple pie with vanilla yoghurt for desert. The light Dickel was perfect as an aperitif and the JD worked enormously well to the dessert and on its own. Leif

Pieface
Had my first try of Buffalo Trace last night. A very nice whiskey and a worthy flag ship with plenty of candy sweetness going on. Nice and full bodied for it's 90 proof.
