captainmal
1) Old Bardstown 101 Estate Bottled. This surprised me, for sure. It is smooth and dreamy for a 101 proof whisky (ooh, that rhymed).2) Buffalo Trace 80 proofA very nice daily drinker. 3) Four Roses Single BarrelDang, that is some sweet and smooth whisky. My mouth did somersaults! We just started getting new Bourbons here in Central Texas (Specs Warehouse). I have made a list of new bourbons to try:- 1792- Noah's Mill- Blantons

OscarV
Elijah Craig 18yo, neat.I'm on a roll with EC, a few months ago I got a 12yo that was the best I ever had and now this 18yo tops other 18's I've had. Also I think I am muturing, palate wise that is, (I don't think I'll ever be mature in the adult sense) to appreciate Parker's whiskeys. The nose is so deep you think you can climb into the glass and the finish lasts forever. Also it helps to try Parker's Heritage Collection, I've been thru 2 of the '07 and 1 '08 over the past two years and I belive that has influenced me in a positive way and helped me understand this bourbon. sailor22
Pappy 15 for a windy overcast chilly afternoon. Seems like almost a year since I have had a Pappy 15 open. I had forgotten how good it was.

T Comp
Started with a Frankfort label 86 proof OGD bottled dated 1982. Followed by new (07) OGD 114. The 82 OGD came in a winter scene box with the proclamation "The Spirit of America". Found hiding amongst olive oil and candles, in a Greek dry goods store for $10.99. funknik
Just poured some 2009 ER17 off the sample Dr Entropy gifted me. I know I've gone on the record many times that I was not an ER fan, but this is quite nice.I liked last year's bottle, too, but eventually got bored with it -- I could sit and sip this one a while, although I'm still not sure I'd spent my BTAC $$ on it. PAspirit1
I had some OGD114, maybe a little more than I planned, earlier today and I thought it was excellent. Dominant in the nose and present afterwards was a scent/flavor I guess I could call cocoa.

fishnbowljoe
PA, that's what I get too, with the OGD114. I liken it to the slightly burnt corners in the brownie pan. :yum: And dangit, I'm out of it. Argh!!!! I hate to make a bourbon run this minute, but you've got me cravin' the old coot, now.
