Just in case you were wondering what 2 barrels looked like...

(Note that that isn't the complete load - I've given some

away, traded a few and even drank a couple cases worth :)

That is certainly a SHTF stash of booze if I ever saw one. Congrats!

Fish, I thought you might find this funny. My wife and I went to another couples house for an after Xmas party. The host and another friend are big JD drinkers. Before the economy went in the tank, they had talked some about buying a barrel. I brought along a copy of the picture you posted. You should have seen the jaws drop and the stares. Funnier than hell. Joe

Great story - glad you got a laugh!

You can tell your friend that he doesn't have to buy

a barrel himself - I learned at the distillery that some

guys have "gone in" on in one. Four or five guys chip

in and the folks at JD are more than happy to make

up different neck tags for each person. Only problem

is who gets the barrel and the framed certificate that

comes with the bottles!

"Honey" (loudly)..... "would you please come over and look at this..... See it's not just me"! Of course I previously showed her silverfish's stash just to prove, what a man of temperance I am.

That's us - hoarding to excess to make the rest of you appear restrained.

You're welcome. :)
