bourbon-n00b
Actually purchased on 02/26 but arrived today:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170451964466&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:ITUnfortunately, it was on the porch, inside a clear plastic bag, box soaked, decanter smashed, all bourbon wasted. :cry:Seller did do a rapid and complete refund, including shipping but I was really looking forward to that Turkey...This is my second decanter and second bad experience (the first one, a WT mini, was about half-evaporated and only contained about 20ml, although what there was, was amazingly good). I think I'll be sticking to the traditional glass bottles from here on out.
tigerlam92
Are there any more at Ledgers? Please PM me if you can pick one up for me.Sorry, nowadays I seldom am able to swing by there. With the horrendous traffic in Berkeley, it usually takes me 45-1hr to get there. I'm pretty sure they still have some left perhaps not a great amount. You may want to try Roger (Rughi), he may be closer.Cheers-Hugh

SMOWK
So my dad is selling his 1973 Mercedes 450SL. I happened to notice a 1974 Mercedes 450SL Beam decanter at a local shop. It was the same color as his, and still sealed. $65 out the door, and a perfect present to give him when he does finally sell it. I think it was made in 1986. 100 months old.Good juice or just cool car?
independant
Two handles of Tom Moore BIB. I have often wondered about these and can't wait to try some for the first time when I get off work.
jburlowski
FRSmB to replace a recent empty. I know I am in the minority here, but I really like this one.

DeanSheen
I love the 4RsmBatch. I think I find that the people that like it more have tended to like other whiskey variations outside of Bourbon. It does not have a typical Bourbon profile. In an attempt to stay out of the bunker I went an procured a ER 10/90. I have to pick up some more everyday drinkers. 4RsmBatch and EWSB 2000 are next on the list but I have to go to different stores for each of those. The ER 10/90 store took me by the record store and I had to pick up a few cd's to go with my pours.I just popped in my first selection, ELEH - Location Momentum (Touch)
JamesW
Picked up a Wathen's today with some Laphraoig QC and a Lagavulin 16. The Wathen's is really decent pour for the money.

gblick
Picked up a bottle of WT Rye, because the price was right.
rocky480
I had to run an errand yesterday and decided to stop by the liquor store near the office (county controlled distribution). I found out that this one hadn't gotten the message on the county's OWA price increase, so decided to save a couple of bucks and picked up 6 bottles at the old price. MrAtomic
Picked up a bottle of Old Weller Antique in a purple bag. It has a date stamp of 04 on the bottom, and is very tasty. No stores in my area carry current bottlings of OWA -- are they still this good (loss of age statement aside)?

Anything from 07 and earlier is bland and some of the 06 I've had has the older profile, some had the newer. The newer stuff is still decent. independant
I got two handles of Tom Moore BIB along with a 1L bottle of WT8 export this past week. Its good to know people that are willing to get you bottles you can't get without traveling.

At the risk of sounding greedy, I'm starting to regret that I kept only one for myself, and gave the other two to friends who are just getting interested in bourbon. Oh well, they're good people and one seems to love the OWA (the other re-gifted the bottle right in front of me, which made me twitch).
