I found a WTKS '03 (dark smooth top) with very dark juice yesterday.

Also found some old Matusalem Rum at the old price.

What's the bottled date on it?

I have one that was bottled 8-22-03 that is the darkest I've seen of any WT.

Picked up 4 Lot B's for $38 as I was passing through Maryland. Not sure how they do it but they always have it on the shelf as well as the ORVW 10/90 for $24 and the VW rye for $48.....

Thank you for not telling me that Reid... I already spent way too much on dusties when I am in the area... I would have pulled the trigger on the rye had I know. All of it.

Popped into a older liquor store in town and the owner said

"I Been waitin for you to come back. We found some old whiskey in the back when we were installing new shelves and I saved em fer ya."

He disapeared into the back and came out blowing dust off of two handles of ER 101. Oh yeah.

We had talked about old Bourbon a year or so ago and he said they didn't have any. He was nice enough to think of me when he happened to find some a few months later. Nice guy, he just made my Christmas Card list.

Went old school today with a couple 1960's-era items.

A mini Benchmark, which comes, along with some "junk" (100 Pipers Scotch, Seven Crown, Crown Royal, Seagram's VO, Seagram's Gin) in a gift set. I will try the non-bourbons but don't have especially high hopes. Price was right at under $4 per mini so nothing really lost if they aaren't too good.

A 4/5 quart 86p Old Taylor in a snazzy decanter.

The ABC has been having regular sales on 4 Roses Small Batch and I've been buying that. I wish they sold the Single Barrel.
