BourbonRob
I picked up EC12...the last 3 bottles were terrible, but its tough to pass up a 12yr for under $20....so I'm trying it again...Finally, I'm impressed....Not complex for a 12 yr ....but very drinkable. I need to start looking at EC 12 as a $20 bottle. When I see 12yr I think Lot B...its not.Much better after breathing some..Rob
cigarnv
Sampled a bottle of Willets 17yo (wheater) in DC from barrel 73A (if I recall properly as we tried 3) that I will add to the rotation when I pick up a pair next week. It came in just over 135 proof and was delicious. Stunning nose and a silky smooth mouth feel. Huge candy corn / caramel entry that went on forever with beautiful balance and complexity. Wood was very subdued given the age and it drank like a 107 proof whisky. This pour was mouth coating with a finish that went on and on. Elegant and alluring.Tasted two other "sister barrel" bottles at 123 and 140 proof that were also excellent but not quite the "honey" barrel that 73A was. cigarnv
Joe, no it wasn't. It was done by a group in DC that distributes to restaurants and a few select retailers.

birdman1099
Reid,I have a couple bottles of the 123 proofer. I like it alot, but the finish was a bit short for me to "love" it. Wine Specialists was sold out of the 135 proofer. Are there any of the 135's there on the shelves at another store? Maybe a store that would ship to me?ThanksSampled a bottle of Willets 17yo (wheater) in DC from barrel 73A (if I recall properly as we tried 3) that I will add to the rotation when I pick up a pair next week. I am doing an in kind trade for the two I am getting.

PaulO
I made a road trip to Louisville and picked up some stuff I don't find on my side of the Ohio River; Old Fitzgerald 1849, Kentucky Tavern B.I.B., Barton 6 year 100 prooof, Ancient Age 10 year, and Cabin Still. The Barton and Cabin Still I have had before. So far I have only opened the AAA and think it reminds me in a good way of some other BT brands.
