Got a new job a couple months ago and have been crazy busy since. Haven't been able to keep up with my bourbon drinking or visits to the site. I'm pretty sure I also ruined my chances of joining the Louisville Bourbon Society by not being able to make any meetings after telling Timothy and Fred I was going to try and join...sorry guys :frown:.

Anyways, I was on vacation this past week and decided to swing in a liquor store to see what they had. Saw a few WLW on the shelf. One was a hell of a lot darker than the rest, it was 129.9 proof. Pulled out the phone, opened SB.com, and sure enough it was a 2006! It did not leave my hands after that. To top it off, I took the last 2 PVW15 on the shelf as well (sorry, I know it's bad dusty hunting etiquette, but when my wife says she'll get bourbon for my birthday, I'm cashing in...).

It feels good to be back.

Decided it was time to put back a few Weller Antique 7 year olds so I bought a couple the other day. Also grabbed an '07 OFBB.

And a few bottles from my SoCal trip arrived. I had to leave them all in Oregon as there was just no way to get 25+ bottles on a plane, so Dad is gradually shipping them to me. First one was one of the most prescious; Old Rip15 and 10 both from Lawrenceburg and a OT BiB distilled in '61!

I found a Hirsch 16 gold foil for $74. I know of 2 others in town. One is at $199 and the other is $225. When was the last time retail was at $74 on these? The last few I got a while back were $125

Earlier in the week I was fortunate enough to find 3L of Old Fitz BIB from 1982, 2L of Old Taylor BIB '82, and 1 OF BIB '82. To top it off, they all had 1982 price tags still on them. The owner wanted to raise the price. I was completely bluffing, but started to walk away. He said, "ok. ok. You can have those prices". I wonder how many more stores like this are still out there.

70cl of yellow Chartreuse. The label says 1 pint 7.6 fl oz. With tax strip.. my guess is early to mid 70s.

200ml Old Forester bib from '83

2 750s of Chinaco Anejo tequilla (I know its not old or bourbon, but it has a bourbon taste...)

I picked up a few Old Charter 7 year and some Old Forester BIB's from the 80's last night and a handleof Old Fitz Prime from the early 90's yesterday afternoon. Without hunting through previous posts and just thinking out loud, the Old Charter came in the original case from DSP16. Is it a wheater? Probably not but what other labels (non-wheaters) were distilled at SW?
