nblair
Thanks for all the tips on hunting you've all left here on the board. Those stories about finding stuff in stores you'd already been to are what led me to head to the place I went today. And here I was complaining earlier this week that Lexington seemed all hunted out.You really found two Seagram's ER101s in Lexington? That is impressive! docbible
Picked up 2 of each of the ORVW 10yo 107 and 90. Also 2 of each Pappy 15, 20, 13yo rye and lot B. Managed to get another BTEC french oak and oak chips. It was a great day and should get me through the winter with frostbite prevention medicine. tim

StraightBoston
Four Roses Yellow Label for my wife's favorite peach nectar smash cocktail.Regrettably passed on a wonderful selection of PHCs (on sale!) at the Craig Beam tasting event at Julio's -- too many bottles in the bunker. bourbonNOOG
Picked up 2 bottles of Pappy 15. Had a little chat with the store owner and he was quite angry that he didn't get any 20. They sent him 5 15's, 10 lot b's and a bunch of 10/107 and 10/90. He told them to take the 10/107 and 10/90 and shove it because that stuff just sits on the shelf. He sells the 20's all day long. He was told by his distributor that it wasn't available to him this year.I was quite happy though because I've never seen a 15 anywhere. So to snag 2 I was quite glad and the price wasn't bad either at $56.99 a bottle.

White Dog
I guess Michigan ain't the only place where distributors play games, eh?Or maybe that retailer refuses to carry OWA and BT, in which case his allocation would have been cut? You've gotta pay to play.

You've gotta pay to play.Actually this appears to be a growing problem for the high end spirits stores this year. While they carry the full line, their majority of their sales are in the higher end and the lower shelf products sit on their shelves. I've talked with a couple of high end stores who both had allocations cut this year despite the fact that BT says both Stagg and WLW production was increased.Tom

imbibehour
Decided that for my tastings even though I was never digging OG, I bought the OG114 and a bottle of Fighting Cock. didn't seem right to never try OG114 even though I never liked the others (86, 100).Going to try them both and make a vid tasting can't wait! I am excited to try both of these.
