Four bottles of Van Winkle Lot B. They were priced at $39.99@

which seemed like a good enough price. Also grabbed a bottle of

Cruzan 9 Spiced Rum since I'm a sucker for spiced rum and it came

with a $9.00 mail-in rebate (off a $17. price tag.)

My wife added a bottle of Black Grouse to the cart. They had a

tasting station set up in an aisle and after having a sample, she

decided a bottle would be nice.

Iwondered about it but they insisted it was the price. I'm going back Monday and see if it is still priced at that. They had about 6 bottles left.

I went to Fort Benning to see my nephew graduate this weekend. On my drive back home from Georgia, I made a few stops and picked up some goodies.

1- 375ml Old Fitzgerald BIB - DSP 16

2- ORVW 10/107

1- VWFRR

1- Weller 12 (only $18.49!)

1- EWSB 1998

1- AAA 10 Star (want to compare the 6 yr to AAA 10 yr)

3- OF Repeal sets ($8.78 each..... why not? Can always use additional glasses)

a number of 200ml AA 100

Then, just for the hell of it I bought a HH BIB and TW Samuels BIB. For under $9 each I've got to try them.

In Bardstown yesterday I picked up these bottles:

2) Parker's Heritage 10yo Wheated 127.8 proof

3) Parker's Heritage 10yo Wheated 124.2 proof

2) Virginia Gentleman 90 proof ("The Fox")

1) Old Kentucky 4yo 80 proof

1) 1843 100 proof, DSP KY16, MO-16

6) EWSB 2000, Barrel No. 510

1) Copper Fox Rye, aged 14 months, really

And, after hauling them home, I poured a nice dram of A.H. Hirsch 20yo from a bottle that has been open over 10 years.

Almost 100% rye mash bill - that's the single malt part. The 18th is aged in uncharred barrels and is a unique taste. The Hotelings is named after a distillery that was remarkably left standing after the big San Fran earthquake. Some people (like me) like it a lot.

Continued the hunt today and while not as fruitful as yesterday I'm still happy with my haul...2 Ezra B 15yr Single Barrel bottles and 1 OFBB 07.

10 bottles in two days is enough to make the trip a success!

I am jealous of the OFBB 07. I miss my only bottle I've been able to find. Enjoy it!

Note they still had 2010 Stagg, Weller, Saz and Handy.

6 bottles of PVW23. I now have 2 bottles that are numbered D1336. Both were picked up recently. ????? Is that possible?

Managed to grab a couple of bottles of 2010 Stagg at retail. Price is the same as last year here in Oregon - $77. Don't love the price, but I couldn't pass them up.
