The Economist has an article on whisk(e)y aging that's worth a read.

I liked their characterization of Buffalo Trace: "run by unabashed tinkerers".

There is also mention of the Maker's Mark / Glenmorangie swap, claiming

that one year in Kentucky is worth four years in Scotland!

Thanks for the tip. I'd normally have seen this but with holidays I've not seen it yet.

Bourbon is getting interesting press in the UK in recent months. The market there seems to be growing a bit.
