Jono
It is amazing how many distillers existed prior to Prohibition...in every stateit seems. For example, Wisconsin is not a state usually associated with whiskey....but this data base show at least 5 pages of distillers:http://www.mrbottles.com/files/whiskeybrands.pdfAs expected, the majority were German distillers.Another Old HickoryBreslauer, A. & Co.Old Hickoryhttp://www.pre-pro.com/midacore/view_glass.php?sid=RRP3696Old Hickory shot glasshttp://www.pre-pro.com/midacore/images/shots/RRP3281.jpgWhere was the product distributed? All local? It seems every town / county ofany size...or not....had a distillery in this country. There must have been thousands of distillers...large and small...I don't think an accurate count is possible when you add in the farm distillers.I imagine most was released quite young. Too bad we can never compare these old brands to todays production.
