Aisla T'Orten 105 Year Old Bottling

"This needs little introduction. The world’s oldest whisky, and the only

bottle of whisky ever made at the Aisla T’Orten distillery in the Highlands.

This was distilled on the 17th February 1906, and the distillery was

tragically destroyed on its first day of operation after a catastrophic

fire. The whisky has lain, resting in a sherry butt for 105 years, and

it was bottled on the 8th March 2011."

I believe the date of its release is significant.

I have heard the Nik Metop Distillery in Michigan is doing the actual bottling.
