MarkEdwards
I've got a can of that "spirit infused" whipped cream (chocolate). I've tried it in coffee, on ice cream, by itself. The only thing I've found that it tastes good with is malted milk.Anybody else had any luck/experiences with this stuff? I'm thinking I'll have to hang on to it until I can dispose of it in eggnog later this year...

TomH
It goes nice with "shot" type drinks depending on the flavor (e.g. buttery nipples, oatmeal cookies, etc).Tom
cowdery
What's the ABV percentage? Can you describe the flavor of 'hard' whipped cream compared to soft?

cowdery
It's listed as about 15% ABV. It's not as sweet as regular whipped cream. Tastes like bad, weak Everclear with milk and sugar in it to me.That's exactly what I expected. Yummmm!

craigthom
That's exactly what I expected. Yummmm!I think this is the new Jell-O shot. You know, for the kids.My mother, who only occasionally drinks wine, has a bottle of Maker's she uses to add to whipped cream. It doesn't add enough alcohol to be of consequence, but it does add some decent flavor.I also got her a bottle of rum for tiramisu. Both of these liquor bottles will probably last for the rest of her life.
mrviognier
We actually started distributing this stuff last year. When I first saw it, I shook my head and thought it'd be a dog of a product...maybe be purchased by an account once, but never again. To my surprise we now buy this stuff in truckload quantities. Well, it's certainly a product I will never buy again. I can't find anything I like it on, and I don't like the taste on its own. I WILL use it up eventually - I still have that new bottle of Evan Williams eggnog to try it on. Or maybe not. If it doesn't go well with the eggnog, I'll probably toss it. Or use it as a target for my BB gun to see if I can get it to explode.
mrviognier
Oh, it'll explode alright. You might want to wear a raincoat & some protective glasses before you do it. The results will make you look like you just returned from seeing Gallagher live.
pepcycle
This product should be on the shelf near flavored lubricants, not cordials. I believe the primary use for this product is not beverage related.

But I'm probably not in the target demographic, either.
smokinjoe
I've never had the store bought version, but a friend of mine made it herself one night. She used whipping cream, Kahlua, and sugar, and it was awesome. Perfect for coffee, pies, or just a bowl of fruit. So, She made it?? Way to go, Jack!!! Perfect for pies....bowl of fruit....Yeaaaahhhh, I bet it was. Everytime I read this I think of that one Herb Alpert album cover.
