autiger23
Got the call at work that they got in the VW today and had my request set aside. When I got there and found my guy, he brought me to the back to pick it up. Then he asked if I would like anything else. Originally they had for me one of each of the 20, 15 and rye. After a bit of talking, and him telling me that the pick was mine if I wanted it, I had my choice made. Ended up walking out with 3 of the rye and 15, one 20 and one 107/10.Big grin. Very happy.  Having that relationship with your store works. Can't stress it enough.Have a happy turkey day everybody!BNice...wish we could get any rye down here. Just glad I got 4 from someone that helped out. Hopefully my store and guys ive been doing business with keep up the connection we have had for years as well. awachatz
1st welcome to SB.2nd I like the newer NAS OWA 107 better than the older 7yr OWA 107 but both are very good at $25.WillThanks Will. I have yet to try either, but I might have to try the newer OWA 107 as a comparison. I hardly see the older one anymore, so I figured that I would grab them while I can. Unfortunately, many of the bourbons I enjoy aren't sold in Michigan (such as Black Maple Hill series and Willett series). I haven't been drinking bourbon that long and I am always open to suggestions.
G.H.Adams
Today I picked two bottles of Tullamore Dew to put in the bunker for the wife. Fed Ex delivered two bottles of Abraham Bowman Rye for me. Not a bad day.

docbible
Picked up two mini sets of the bourbon heritage collection at a store I have been in a hundred times and never saw. One box is in bad shape but the other has held up pretty well. Can't wait to try the weller. Tim
Khari
I found a GTS in a liquor store that I wouldn't normally have expected to find it today. Also saw a Masterson's Rye. As much as I like rye, I'm gonna take a wait and see approach to this one.

Jonny.Applebury
I spent the last week and a half in five states. I visited scores of liquor stores. This year, I was very fortunate to have this trip coincide perfectly with the Van Winkle release. Here are some photos of my haul. The first photo is everything. The second is a closer shot of just the Van Winkle stuff. The third is a closer shot of everything else, and the fourth is what I'm probably most excited to have found: Sazeracs from 2006, 2007, and 2008. I can't make up my mind if those are better than the two bottles of Wild Turkey American Spirit. Some of the Van Winkles are from bottling runs prior to Fall 2011. I picked up the Old Charters and the Evan Williams 1783 because I can't find those in my neck of the woods. The Buffalo Trace bottle is a single barrel selection of the liquor store where I purchased it. I picked up the Very Old Barton BIB because I like the older style bottle. jcg9779
The current PVW release has not quite yet hit Georgia, but last week I was driving through a small town and stumbled across two PVW 15 (2008 bottle date). I picked them up and happily went on my way.
