My order of Eagle Rare 17 and Thomas H. Handy came tonight. The UPS man dropped the box on the porch. I was lucky that it was packed well as there was no damage.

I told the delivery man he almost bought two bottles of expensive bourbon.

I dislike UPS.:hot:

If I were you I would treat the man handling my "junk" with respect.

VWFRR guys...lucky dogs! That is the next on my list. They were late to CA so we might see them early-mid Jan.

Went back to Atlanta for the weekend for Georgia Tech's graduation and scored another 2 WTAS 15yr's and my first 18yr JPS. Makes 3 WTAS over the last 3 weeks, happy with finding those.

Found an old dusty handle of Weller 12 last night for $30 which breaks down to about $13.33 a bottle. No brainer.

I'm still trying to find a PHC 10 and just one bottle of VWFRR here in Houston but am getting no love from the bourbon gods. All I want for Christmas is some VWFRR.

A Baby Saz for the bunker today.

For those of you outside of Georgia, you don't understand how happy I am to post that. Last month we voted to finally legalize the sale of alcohol on Sundays. It has not gone into law statewide yet, but most of the Atlanta metro area now has Sunday alcohol sales.

The 4 I visted inside the metro area, 2 of which are the largest were closed for Sunday's. Eh, at least I got what I got.

Jack, it is an amazing and great development for GA and ATL. I was in Whole Foods-Sandy Springs- yesterday, and quite a difference being able to now buy wine on Sunday. Does anyone know if Costco now allows Sunday wine/liquor sales.

Bill.

Got a quote the whole thing, Awesome! Any plans in particular for it? I am saving mine for my combination year where my wife and I both turn 50 and celebrate 30 years of marriage.

Best regards, tony

No clue as of yet. Maybe when I turn 30? or 40? No clue...

Got a Weller 12 and an OWA. I've done this sort of thing before, but spurred on by a recent comment by Wadewood, I vatted half of each (into an old Cabin Still liter bottle, which is sort of appropriate, I thought), creating a Weller 9.5/98.5 for about $22 per 750, an ORVW killer if there ever was one. Emptying half of the Weller 12 and OWA allows them to breathe a little, too.

Good stuff but I'm leaning towards 3 parts OWA to 1 part Weller 12 based on recent experiments. I like this ratio and it helps to ration my W12. (My local Weller 12 source has been out for awhile - and it's starting to iritate me.)

Been looking for an excuse to try EC12 and found a bottle (sort of dusty) with a bottle code very very close to one reputed in an old thread as being exceptional (an 09 yr code) so I got it.

And had to throw in some Mellow Corn to try as well.
