stiffchainey
Price: 20.00 €, bought via online shop. Taste: pretty neutral and smooth compared to a Jim Beam Rye or a Bulleit Rye. I had this Rye straight, which just wasn't mine. On the rocks the flavour varied a bit and became fuller and richer. Tried it with Ginger Ale on the rocks, and that did it for me...Nothing special, really, it fits nice in a cocktail, but I'm not to sure about if this is why you buy a Rye? Do you? ;-)
p_elliott
Cocktails in bars is what have really been what has brought rye back.
stiffchainey
Okay, didn't knew about that. In Germany the most common whiskey in a bar is JD and JB. A well done whiskey sour is pretty rare!
DanG
If you to try an interesting twist on a whiskey sour, try shaking in a raw egg white along with the whiskey, syrup, and fresh lemon juice. It's really tasty!http://www.nola.com/cocktails/index.ssf/2010/05/the_whiskey_sour.html(Obviously, you don't need to use Maker's)
