Ok, so the New Year is about to begin (or just begun), what spirits did you use to usher in rhe New Year?

For me, I am sticking with what I know (despite its loathing around here), Maker's Mark. What will you (or did you) hoist at midnight?

I am drinking PVW 20 and WTKS right now, but for midnight I will be opening a bottle of A H Hirsch 16 year.

I am drinking a Brew Dog Hardcore IPA, have some Vilmart Champagne and a little 05 Mugneret Vosne Romanee in front of me, and I'm eyeing my shelf with OWA, ORVW10/107, and some JW Dant BIB. Not sure where tonight is going to take me.

I went looking around with wriiopvanwrinkle today. Found a few things. Stopped by to drop him off. Well, things never end up so simple. We ended up doing a side by side of '09 and '11 PVW15. He threw in 2 different SW Old Fitz Primes, some High West (to illustrate a point), OGD114, some '10 WLW, and some Lot B to cut things with. We didn't have a lot of time but a great lineup and great fun. Thank you so much for the hospitality.

Edit: I forgot about the Willet 6 and 8 years. Thanks for those also

A brand new bottle of High West Rendezvous Rye at the moment. Likely PVW15 at midnight. Maybe some ORVW 10/107 so I don't use up the Pappy.

It's 930 pm here, and I am having some PVW LotB, and will have a pour of the 15yo and the 20yo by midnight. Wife doesn't drink, so we will toast the new year with glasses of Martels sparkling non-alcoholic) cider (phooey!).

Started out with some Lagavulin 16yr (neat, of course). Then moved on to a 2000 bottle of Mumm Napa DVX. After that some cheap Ruffino Prosecco which was actually decent. Not sure what will be next, if anything...

Hope everyone has a safe and happy New Years!

Jura Whisky 3 Year Old.

I had a bit of everything; bourbon, rye and scotch, but the one I decided to crack open was an Isle of Jura, Jura Whisky that is only 3 years old, but one of those most flavorful and interesting whisk(e)ys I've ever tasted.

I had a glass of ORVW 23 to ring in the new year.

Like the decanter? If so how'd ya like it. I still have mine untouched and waiting for god knows what special day.

The Breakfast of Champions: VWSR Lot B

It's very good with coffee and a bagel with lox and cream cheese.
