Goodbye gift shop A. Bowman 18 and Saz 18. I loved both, but it was time to make room on the shelf for something new.

A Wild Turkey Rye 101 gave up its last pour for a little manhattan tonight:

1.75 oz WTRye101

.75 oz Cocchi Vermouth de Turin

half teaspoon dark maple syrup ("grade B" is the dark and strong flavored stuff)

dash of Fee's Orange Bitters

3 Luxuardo cherries

Ahhh... heavenly. I need to find and bunker a few more WTRye 101's, as I've also tested this recipe with Baby Saz, and the rye flavor isn't quite strong enough...

Came home from the Sampler with a desire to re-visit previous private bottlings I've been able to purchase. Sadly, I finished off the remains of Dougs Willett Rye and Doug & Neal's Willett Rye. I would be the first to tell you I'm not a rye fan......but there are exceptions!! Wow!! Glad I have another bottle of each to put in the liquor cabinet!!

TPS 1792. Started bad to mediocre, got drinkable about halfway, last quarter was really good.

My 4R SB didn't even make it a week. Had an auction Saturday night, took the bottle with me - one of the most popular guys in the room. Will be looking to add a replacement this week.

CnB ETL #3 gave its life to the cause tonight. CnB ETL #15 is not long for this world either.

I just finished a bottle of Handy. I also have a bottle of Vintage 21 that probably won't last long at the rate I have been reaching for it - truly great rye. I think WT 101 rye will be opened next - a whiskey that will soon be harder to find than the Handy, whose spot it is replacing.

VOB 86 went away yesterday. The bananas came on late and left pretty quickly, so I would not be afraid to pick up another.

Having left a pour in several bottles today became "clean out day," so I had the last pour of Knob Creek over lunch and the last pour from an Eagle Rare bottle which was rwmaravly better than the first. And OWA gave its last to a batch of Manhattans while the steaks were grilling.

In celebration of one truckload of sod down AND prepping for a 2nd load tomorrow AM, I finished my bottle of CEHT Warehouse C tonight, and then...I am opening the Single Barrel expression tomorrow after the completion of the 2nd truckload.
