Gonna go hang out with Chip and drink some damn good whiskey

If anyone has questions they want me to ask him, post it in this thread. I'll take some pictures and post them too.

I want to know when their malt whiskey might be available. I can tell that the blue corn products are made with care and quality, but they just smell and taste too young for my liking. I hate to say that I poured most of a bottle of Rumble down the drain. I still very much want to visit this distillery one of the times that I drive down to Waco to visit my dad.

The malt whiskey is available. They've made a couple batches now. I'm going to crack one open tonight, in fact.

You can drop by the distillery and look around, possibly even hang out with Chip, he loves whiskey nerds. There isn't an official tour or visitor center or anything though. It's a fairly tiny operation.

If you ever want to go, shoot me a PM and I'll text Chip to let him know.

I was able to stop by yesterday too, was sort of in the area. Chip makes some really tasty whiskeys!

The single malt is almost a mix of bourbon and scotch, really pleasant, easy sipping liquid.

The Cask Strength Rumble is super, sugary, and amazing, with a balance that doesn't make it too sweet.

They were blending a new pull of 50 small casks for baby blue while we were there too. For young whiskey from small casks it's nothing like the other raw white dogs they sell as aged stuff I've tasted. No heartburn, no white dog/raw corn taste. A citrusy nose that could be from the yeast they use, as the nose is in just about everything else they produce.

If you get a chance, try some of their products. It won't be for everyone, but where I was interested and intrigued before, I'm a fan now.
