cazolman
Planning my Bourbon Trail trip and need a little help. Looking for a decent hotel in Lawrenceburg/Versailles/Frankfort area for less than $100. Also looking for supper for less than $20.
cowdery
There isn't much in Lawrenceburg or Versailles. You need to look in Frankfort, at least for lodging. No specific recommendations, but if you use Expedia or just check the sites for chains like Red Roof and Super 8, I'm sure you can meet your budget. Same deal with food. Kentucky in general is pretty inexpensive, another good reason to visit.
p_elliott
Most of us just base out of Bardstown and commute.
KYPayne
I'm very Henderson on the other side of the state, but Bardstown is a very nice small town. It will give you access to US 62 to Clermont, to US 31E up to Lexington, and it's right off the Bluegrass Parkway to Lawrenceburg and on up to Frankfort. Kentucky is a very scenic state. It's a lot more beautiful than people give it credit for.
