Larceny 1.75 $39.99 + $20.00 rebate, TPS OWA #28(love that they're numbering now), TPS AAA. Jay told me that BT is no longer offering AAA in the single barrel selections, sad. GaryT
Total Wine Dallas had Watkins Select in. An inexpensive young Bourbon rated Gold by San Fran Spirits competition. Working thru some open bottles before I give it a try.I picked up Watkins a couple months ago (I think I paid $12 with tax), and wasn't impressed (although for the price, I didn't expect to be). It was incredibly smooth, which isn't an attribute I particularly care for in my bourbon - but if you like really smooth whiskey, give it a go. camduncan
Picked up the last Parkers Herritage Collection Congac Finished Bourbon available in Australia (one of our retailers imported a small amount - this was the last bottle). At $140 it wasn't cheap, but it will make an interesting talking point to share on tasting nights.
smokinjoe
I figured I'd get my KBF bourbon buying campaign off to a start. Picked up a bottle of BT ($19.99 is a good price in these parts), and a bottle of Whistle Pig (First time I've seen it in these parts). I'm already a buck down, and I ain't even left town, yet. MyOldKyDram
Didn't buy but was "gifted" a BTEC 19 yo Giant French Oak Barrel. My gf had stopped at the store to see if there was anything new. While looking she was approached by another customer looking for help. A Texan looking to stock up on bourbon before heading back home. Well, apparently he bought everything she recommended and then some. She didn't find anything to take home, but on the way out he handed her the BTEC as a thank you. Not sure if there was any Indecent Proposal action or not but either way, free whiskey for me! Edited September 10, 2012 by MyOldKyDram

Free bourbon is always great, but free bourbon from a deep-pocketed Texan, via your bourbon-knowledgable girlfriend has got to taste twice as nice.
