Stones
It's Thursday night, nearly the end of the working week. The wife is out shopping, just me and the dog enjoying a sip of rye. Started from the bottom of the quality side with a JB Rye, a few WT Rye's and I may even top it off with a Rittenhouse rye, once I find it. I'm guessin' WT ... :drink:Funny you mention it, he does like chewing on ice cubes so I throw him a couple while having a drink. He has tried bourbon and rye and tends to lick his chops for a few minutes before giving me a score on each.He gave 3 out of 5 paws for WT Rye, here's a pic of him saying g'day to you all with Homer about to jump on his back. Stones
Having a few sips of an EC12 I bought in 2009 from the bunker, I've had my share of bad bottles of EC12 but damn this one I have open now is outstanding. Huge hits of caramel and butterscotch sweetness with a touch of smoky flavour to boot. Wish they were all consistently like this bottle. Beautiful! Gumbootboy
Been finishing off most of my 'almost empties' lately as I'm moving house/bunker and didn't want to put them through the stress of the move. EC12, Woodford Reserve, Buffalo Trace, American Honey and Basil Haydens. Also at www.b-fonline.com/facebook/GentlemanJackAUS/fathersday/ for anyone interested $55 will get you a bottle of 700ml Gentlemen Jack that is engraved for 'free' considering you can get Gentlemen at $40 if you're lucky it's not the best deal but worth considering. Free postage for the next 30 people, going fast (was still at 500 days ago), otherwise postage is $12.
B-Zero
Tried the JD Honey last night. Although incomparable to the American Honey i would much prefer the JD. Its smokier and less sweet. And damn well smoooooooth on the rocks.I have 3 drinks left in my 2008 WLW which Im thinking of enjoying tonight.. which would pave the way for opening my 2009 GTS!! spy247
Like others I have been finishing off some bottles. Sazerac 6yr rye and Four Roses Single Barrel, which is damn good at 50%Stones you got me thinking about giving EC12 another crack.

Stones
Stones you got me thinking about giving EC12 another crack.Yeah it was outstanding, I remember buying it for $42 in 2009 now it retails for about $60. $40 is worth the gamble but $60 is a bit steep if it's a dud bottle. Just checked and Dan's has it for $60. Hmmm a bit rich. I'm a bit wary of dud bottles. I'd rather stump for Evan Williams Single Barrel at $
