Trader Joe's Bourbon

Correction: BT emailed to tell me that the juice in this bourbon is actually distilled at Barton.

Walgreen's carries a bunch of stuff - bourbon, blended Scotch, vodka, etc. - that carries a "Distilled at Barton" statement. Can't remember the name of the brand and I haven't tried any of it.

My whims don't know shit and are not to be trusted. This stuff is NOT good, ha. It really is so ridiculously bitter on the finish. Shame too, as the nose and initial sweetness are fairly pleasant. This one is going straight to the kitchen for sauces, marinades, etc. It's the only chance this bottle has I'm afraid.

Think about what BT, or any distiller, will pick out to sell to an outfit like Trader Joe's at a price that allows Trader Joe's to sell it cheap and make a profit. Hint. They're not taking it from the Pappy Van Winkle pile.

Interesting. My Trader Joe's that just recently opened here in Lexington, KY only sells wine.

Looks like I'm in the minority here, but I thought this Bourbon was pretty decent for $15.
