Curtisc84
I was in a store today and saw a bottle of Hancock Presidential Reserve that came with a wooden case for $45, and couple of 2004 Old Forester Birthday bottles for $40. Worth picking up?
silverfish
Depends. You mean for drinking or for "investing"?
Curtisc84
Drinking! I open all my bottles. I have to know what I like before I know what to stash away =)
JB64
I don't know much about the HPR but the Birthday price appears reasonable. I have been wanting to try the old Forester and would probably pull the trigger if I was there.
squire
Curtis the Hancock is a whisky of high quality and ordinary personality. I bought one when they first came out and years later got another just to check my first impressions. I suppose I would buy a third if I came across it on closeout for a really good price.I have a high regard for Forester and the birthday expressions never fail to satisfy. Curtisc84
Thanks for the input. I'll go pick up the Forester Birthday bottle and sample it against the 2012. Cheers!
