RT Fan
It was bourbon night on Saturday, started with an OWA on the rocks, followed that with a Woodford Reserve, which is my house bourbon but paled by comparison to the Weller Antique. For dessert I cracked open my Taylor Tornado, neat. What a drying finish, not a criticism, it just seemed to evaporate on the tongue. Last night a glass of Elmer T Lee. which keeps improving in my mind everytime I have it. All in, 4 pretty diverse taste profiles, there is something for everyone under the bourbon tent. HighHorse
Frontier Whiskey.. Bulleit. Been a while since I revisited this brand that was one that attracted me to bourbon neat or on ice. It's still a darn good bourbon IMO. Cheers.

smokinjoe
Instead of pondering for too long, I just decided to open up the Auxillary Opened-Bottle Bunker B-3a, close my eyes, reach waaaaaay in the back, and pull out the first thing that hit my fingies....And to my delight, out came an Old Ezra 7yr 101. I feel luckier than Jack Horner.

AaronWF
An extensive lineup tonight, of a newly cracked Willet CS 9yo 1B ryed bourbon purported to be of B-F origin, which drank well @ ~129pf, followed by FRLESmB '12, which continues to surpass its hype, another 9yo Willet from a different barrel (tastes along the lines of the '08 OFBB @ CS), and now I'm sipping on some TPS FR1B.Just another Monday. tanstaafl2
Not bourbon but had a chance to try a sample from a bottle of Stranahans last night. I thought it surprisingly good and a bit more of an Irish or Scotch profile which I suppose is not surprising given it's all barley mash bill. Forgot to look and see when it was distilled and bottled so not sure if it was pre or post change over in key personnel. Not sure I would pay $60-$70 for it but if was at least under $50 (and readily available in my neck of the woods which it is not of course) I might consider a bottle now and again. Off to the Koval testing at Mac McGee's tonight!
