Larceny neat, on a rainy Monday. I just realized I am nearing the bottom of another bottle of this whiskey. A terrific, aged, 92 proof, wheater....Becoming scarce these days! So, I'll be picking up another Family Size bottle shortly.

It's getting a new label/slightly higher proof soon, so it's not going away. Here's hoping it tastes just as good.

there are moments when I think this is pretty good, i get a fleeting smell, or that certain taste moment where it all comes together, but then it passes.

The more i get through the bottle, the more it reminds me of certain brandies. I know when it came out, it was certainly not towards everyones taste.

College Football has been over for a month now, so I am finishing off the last pour of Fighting Cock. :cry: The bitch about this bottle is that opening the new fresh bottle for the start of college football in September is sort of a...Gateway to the Fall Season....an Event...a Transition to a cooling down...a Marker of another year of Life...I savor the anticipation of its opening beginning in late July, but always hold out until The Day..Kickoff....But, I love the stuff so dang much, I hate to wait. I'm not sure I can make it this year...So, I am pronouncing my love and adoration to the SASKATCHEWAN ROUGHRIDERS!!!! Only got to make it to June, now, eh!!!

2012 Four Roses Small Batch Limited edition, neat.

Just opened a bottle of this whiskey supreme, a lot of the different 4R LE's remind me of honeysuckle even with the different mashbills.

This one is no different, honeysuckle plus it's own other characteristics like baking spices.

Got together last night with couple Dallas members and poured through some Binny's FR's OBSK, 1789b OBSK, Julio's OESO, EBSG McKenna BIB SB, Julio's Weller Cent, Balcone's Cask Strength, Julio's Jefferson's Rye, and Vintage 21 Rye...a solid night of tasting. Tonight I'm having some WTRB 1997 and some FR 1789b OBSF.
