Worked through some OGD114, FR1B from Kenwood Liquors, 1789b FR's OESQ and OBSF, 1789b OWA #14/15 and some Kenwood Liquors OWA over the weekend while sking with some neighbors! :cool

That 1789b OWA selection #14 is one of my very very very favorite bourbons. I've had the 15 also, which is good, but the 14... oh. my. goodness. (and goodness it is)

Just had a few fingers of OWA... good stuff. Thanks to all here for recommending it.

Me too. Excellent stuff. Not sure what to turn to next.

Last two pours from a bottle of ER10. Contemplating whether to open my 2012 ER17.

Starting out with OFBB '12 then probably moving on to Bulleit Rye. Work tomorrow so that is about it.

Last night:

OFBB '12

Michter's Sour Mash

Willett 8

Tonight:

TBD

Edit: I liked the Michter's very much - just wished it was BiB or barrel strength

EWB mini, my first EWB. Pleasantly surprised, it's a nice relaxing easy to drink sipper. Not too complex but no off notes either.

One day I'll please the Deities of Bourbon and pass the threshold into those hallowed halls =]b

Love me some Weller though - I think I'll have some tonight!

A nice easy and cheap sipper, indeed. Another great example that you don't have to lay down a lot of coin to get a nice bourbon! Plus, I don't always feel like channeling my Carl Sagan when I'm sipping a whiskey...

Old Ezra 7 yr 101 for me this evening.

Having a deconstructed SB blend tonight. Usually prefer the 12, but the OWA is outdoing it this evening.

Finished off a bottle of V17 tonight. I dont like it as much as JPS17 or 18 but still a great older wheater and cheaper than the JPS.

Smooth Ambler Old Scout 6-Year Old Bourbon, Willett Family Estate Reserve 4-Year Old Rye, Very Old Barton BIB, finishing up with a big, bottle-killing pour of Wathen's. Had a couple of Horses Neck (Evan Williams, Benedictine, lemon, bitters, ginger ale) cocktails at brunch this morning also.

Finally having my first pours of FRSmBLE12, neat. Immediately struck by the mouthfeel (thick) and balance. Keep waiting for the wood to impose, but it doesn't. The taste of cherries is prominent. Looking forward to getting into this one.

The OBSV has great fruit potential and I get the cherries on this recipe quite often.

With OBSV on the mind, I opened a OBSV 16 yo gift shop offering and while I didn't care for it in a 4R blind tasting compared to other samples, it's hitting the spot now
