JPS18, first pour, really liking it.

Cheers

One of my favorite bourbons, I'm just not ready to shell out another $100 for a bottle

Attended the Heaven Hill Dinner at 5 Seasons beer pub last night. In addition to the regional and state managers for HH Bernie Luebbers was also back in town and provided another entertaining evening. The food pairing were also very good although I am still not sure bourbon works with food quite as well as wine or beer. Featured beverages included the Bernheim Wheat, 2003 EWSB, EC12 and Larceny. The beer pub also had a scotch ale and porter on the menu that had been aged about three months in HH barrels. And then to cap off the evening there was a pour of ECBP that was not on the menu. All in all an enjoyable evening.

Larceny, while listening to the Braves on the radio out in the garage. This whiskey just hits me in my wheelhouse. It continues to be my "go to".

First pour at home in a while and I grabbed the Bowman Brothers KBS Barrel of the Year to share with my neighbor.

Cracking open my first VOB BIB tonight.

This is going to be a fast bottle.

I should have picked up more than one.

It's always a good idea to keep a backup of that one on hand. I suggest handles.

Barreled Manhattan with Rittenhouse BIB, then Hirsch 25 rye, and finally a little PHC 6th.

Similar to PHC 27, the Hirsch has the "liquid candy" aspect going on, but it doesn't even taste like whiskey.

Last night, Old Charter 10 and some William Larue Weller with a splash.

What did you think of the OC 10? I got to try some this fall and it was one of my favorite pours of the year. It is not distributed here in MN but I am planning to order some in the near future.
