tanstaafl2
Attended the Heaven Hill Dinner at 5 Seasons beer pub last night. In addition to the regional and state managers for HH Bernie Luebbers was also back in town and provided another entertaining evening. The food pairing were also very good although I am still not sure bourbon works with food quite as well as wine or beer. Featured beverages included the Bernheim Wheat, 2003 EWSB, EC12 and Larceny. The beer pub also had a scotch ale and porter on the menu that had been aged about three months in HH barrels. And then to cap off the evening there was a pour of ECBP that was not on the menu. All in all an enjoyable evening. Edited April 18, 2013 by tanstaafl2

Trey Manthey
Barreled Manhattan with Rittenhouse BIB, then Hirsch 25 rye, and finally a little PHC 6th. Similar to PHC 27, the Hirsch has the "liquid candy" aspect going on, but it doesn't even taste like whiskey.
