KyFriedChicken
Nice warm sunny day called for some AE (very light and a little sweet). Going a complete different direction now with some OGD114 since the sun has gone down. Time to warm back up.

squire
Think I'll go with a BIB theme, probably Old Grand Dad.
compliance
Opened a dusty faux tax stamp OGD BIB mini and decided to pour some current OGD114 to compare. The nose on the BIB is much more potent, and sweeter with some butterscotch. The 114 has no butterscotch, but light banana and is very rye forward. Same goes for the taste with the 114 being much more dry. I love the 114 but dusty BIB wins this round.

Can't believe I put this off till tonight. The perfect end to a nice day. Great spice and velvet texture all in harmony. Neat. Can't add ice to this. It's great just like it is. tigerlam92
Doing my new daily pour of the ECBP 67.1% goodness on the rocks. PS, I was able to pick up a bunch more today to stock up so should carry me quite a while now. CheersHugh

Richnimrod
I did a little 'taste-off' yesterday between ECBP and Pappy 23 (from 3-years ago). It was pretty damned close and the Pappy won only by a very narrow margin. Great Fun, for sure!!! The reality is that Pappy is so damned hard to get, and so extremely expensive ...I'd much rather have 5 or 6 bottles of the ECBP. Come to think of it; anybody want to trade me 3-bottles of ECBP for my half-bottle of Pappy 23??? Didn't think so... Oh Well.
KyFriedChicken
JPS 18 Batch 15. Controversial pour around here but I really like it. Maybe not enough to drop another Benjamin but thinking about it.I agree. I liked it enough to bunker 3 Batch 8 bottles and 1 batch 15 bottle. I say if you like it then you should get it. I will have to compare the Batch 8 against the 15 when I'm down to my last pour in this bottle.
justataste
Ending the day with a double pour of OGD 114. Still my favorite go to pour.
brettckeen
Its an old fitz party... Bonded, 1849, Larceny, and VSOF side by side. The results are as predicted. I like Larceny about 3 to 4 dollars more a bottle than 1849. VSOF not amazing but quite good. Bonded is a fine pour after my pallet is exhausted by other things. michaelturtle1
The VOF 8 is a wonderful pour, I think the viscosity of the pour and the way it coats your mouth is the most impressive aspect of it

Mike was a more than generous host this evening, and I certainly am grateful to have the chance to sample such great bottles.
