Bulleit 10yr really quite a nice pour, withstanding the price aside, not overly challenging, solid FR's profile of ample age and waaaay too easy drinking. Now I just need to pick up a few more since they were marked at $32.

Hey, good price that. I would grab one myself for what amounts to change over the 4R1B.

Having had both I would go with FR1B at the same price every day...the additional 8pr and the OBSV recipe is a difference make IMO over the Bulleit 10yr.

Having a pour or two of BT tonight. I generally tend toward high-rye bourbons, but the BT has some complexity and a tad bit of sweetness that is really agreeing with me!

Started off with a pour of W12, now finishing with a healthy pour of OWA.

HighInTheMtns inspired tonight's pour of a 1:1 ECBP/EC12 vatting - delicious...

... finishing up with CEHT Tornado

I started out with some VOB BiB that has breathed long enough to lose most of its sooty off notes without losing its character. Great house profile with plenty of dry oaky sugars to go around.

I then swerved sharply into FR traffic with some 2013 LE1B, a fat pour of OESQ and some OBSV which may be my favorite barrel of < 10yo FR that I've had. I could have gone on drinking it all night, but the baby woke up and I had to pretend I was in bed while my wife went to feed her...

Last evening I lined up four FR1B store selections for a blind tasting. All are OBSV, around 9 years, and selected this year. I enjoyed them all but have a definite favorite for which I'll be going back for a few more. The FR1B has definitely replaced the SB blend as my regular pour.

Finished off my bottle of ORVW 10/107 while watching the new Les Mis with my wife.

It's overpriced, can be difficult to find even close to release, and over-hyped --- but all things being equal, it is one of the best bourbons I've had the pleasure of trying.

Squeezing in a pour of OGD BIB while doing some house-cleaning (I mean - cleaning out the DVR counts, right? Somebody's gotta do it)

Had a pour of AH Hirsch 16 thanks to an awesome regular. I told him I had started reading the book about it and he insisted we had a pour.

I love my job.

My first pours of Fighting Cock, will have to revisit this one when allergy season comes to an end as it wasn't pleasing to the palate tonight.

Few glasses of EWBiB earlier, followed by a AAA. Really liking the EWBiB, glad I kept my eyes open for it even when the stores told me it wasn't distributed in GA.

Closed out the evening with a bit of Old Grand Dad.

Saw this today on the FB Bourbon Exchange and thought about you:
