I'm enjoying some WTRB as well, about to kill off the bottle.

Me 2, birds of a feather....

Had some EWB and OF Signature (following the aforementioned WT Rye 101) while watching Game of Thrones and reveling in the Bruins game 7 win. :)

Finished off a bottle of Weller 12 last night as it was down to the last drink. Good thing I have a couple 1.75 bottles in reserve...

Mixed up a Barton cocktail with Parma and orange juice to enjoy with lunch.

I have been thinking about opening this bottle of gold vein OWA Louisville Stizel-Weller for a while now and today seems to be the right day.

But is it over-kill for a Tuesday?

Down to the last 1/3 of 4R small batch. I'm so tempted to just kill this whole bottle off.

Gotta work tomorrow though, and have stuff to do before bedtime.

But it doesn't seem right without friends over.

Maybe I should call my ole Buddy Weiser.

Start a tradition, Tuesday is Weller day.

I don't know, Weller Wednesday has much more of a ring to it.

Nice pour of BT - since I apparently am all out of gold-veined, SW vintage OWA

After a flight of ryes, I ended the night with a pour of Abraham Bowman "gift shop". An epic Bourbon.

Some friends dropped by with a bottle of TPS Smooth Ambler Old Scout 10 yo. It's a LDI barrel-proof straight bourbon at an eminently drinkable 110 proof. With it we had a dinner of some spicy pretzel rods and tortilla chips with commercial salsa from a jar. It was a beautiful Spring evening out on the deck – mid 70s and sunny. The conversation was rich and spirited and lasted as the sun descended behind the tree tops. A simply wonderful evening.

The lesson (or more accurately the reminder) was that it is the people that really count .... not the libation or food.

Phil I'm reasonably familiar with the Weller brand as it has evolved over the years but must admit to a bit of bias because I started drinking the brand when Pappy was still alive.

Willet Single Barrel 9yr, 126 proof. Added a few drops of water. Very nice. Reminds me a little of the bottle of PHC 12 I had, but with better balance and some nice dark fruit characteristics.

How long have you been holding that?

What a nice find.

The Willet? I picked it up at their gift shop last week, along with a bottle of their 4 yr Rye.
