Special Reserve
Some GTS 141.8 before and with coffee this morning. I wish everyday could start this way!
CoMobourbon
Had some WSR last night. Say what you want, I have become a born-again believer in the wheater air-time effect. This stuff has gone from light sweetness, lemon, and alcohol to something much richer. I got that BT grassiness which, in moderation, I like a lot. Trey Manthey
EC18 barreled on 5/25/1990. I can speak for the quality of barrel #3953. Very nice.
GaryT
Technically not "bourbon", but trying some Jacob's Ghost this afternoon. Like it more than I expected to for what it is, although glad I only bought the mini to try it

ChainWhip
Last night, had some GTS'12 on my Death Star ice ball - surprised by how sweet this was on the rocks.Followed that up with some 4RSmBLE'
Alden
Just had a sip of Fighting Cock to taste it. First impression, hot & sweet, but not overly sweet. The 103 proof really does make it hot.I followed it with a sip of OGD114 just for comparison. OGD is a bit hotter (higher alc, so that makes sense) but not as sweet, and has a different flavor profile overall, of course. It has more of a rye flavor, to me. Alden
Sipping two fingers of the FC on ice now. Damned if it doesn't taste a lot like Buffalo Trace to me.

michaelturtle1
Having a small pour of PVW 15, I opened it and tried it last night but that was after more than a few pours. Finding it just as delicious today.

smknjoe
Polishing off a couple of 200ml bottles. Old Charter "The Classic 90" and Evan Williams black label. I have to say the OC is better than when I opened it a month or 2 ago. I would never guess it was 12 years old since I get very little oak or char flavor. Finding it just as delicious today.PVW15 is just about the only thing you could drink today, after the murderers' row of whiskeys you treated us to last night. You set the bar very high. That was once-in-a-lifetime material!
WhiskyToWhiskey
Having Weller 12, Knob Creek, and Jack Daniels Single Barrel. I enjoy Weller but not a huge wheater fan. I like Knob Creek better than the Weller...and JDSB better than them both. But my tastes are different than most.
Wryguy
Baker's batch B85-001 by the fire. This bottle tastes like it needs to be drained quick.
Phil T
Spent the afternoon cruising in the hot rod pickup, clearing my head, and listening to nothing but the open exhaust. Pure nirvana. I know we talk whiskey here, but if you know hot rods, you know what I'm talking about.Popped a bottle of HH BIB white in the frig yesterday, I started doing this a couple years ago because of a post of our latest SB svengali. First pour tonight, yummy, yummy, yummy. Thank you Joe

Wryguy
I'm never one to nix a quick draining, but that most excellent bottle gets even better with air...
bigtoys
figured I'd do a blind test of the two Barrel Strength 4R OBSK's. 120th Anniversary 12 yr old 56.4 proof Bounty Hunter 11 yr old 60 proof. Mad Men Rolly Polly style glasses since it's Sunday. Unfortunately, I couldn't really tell them apart. Didn't prefer one over the other.
rjboatwright
Having some ORVW 10/107. Good stuff. Also, revisiting PHC barrel finish. I like it more and more each time I drink it.
smknjoe
Good taste Richard. That's my favorite "daily" wheater. Since it's not so easy to find I substitute OWA quite often.
