AGarrison Posted May 5, 2013 Share Posted May 5, 2013 Well i tried to tour a few distilleries recently. Short Mountain Distillery is only open for tours thur - sat, 9-5pm. I stopped to take a picture of the entrance at least and a nice guy in short mountain tshirt drove up. They have two small stills and only make shine at the moment. The location is absolutely beautiful; makes me want to work there for free. I'm definitely heading back on a Saturday.East Tennessee Distillery is in Piney Flats, TN not too far from Bristol Motor Speadway. Not open for tours yet it seems, but I have seen their product showing up in local stores around the Greeneville TN area.It's an exciting time in TN with all these new guys popping up.
