Much-needed big ol pour of ECBP over a giant ice cube.

Ritt BIB on the rocks with a few dashes of Fee Bros Orange Bitters. Yup. It's good.

I like your style! We must hang out soon :)

And to stay on topic, the 17 year gift shop 4 roses is burning a hole in my pocket. Err gullet.

Started off with some OGD BiB then stepped up to some JPS 18. Now I'm enjoying a pour from an Old Fitz BiB Flagship decanter. Talk about a dessert bourbon, you could ice a cake with this stuff.

Bulleit with ice, the kind of pelleted (not quite shaved) ice only a bar can really deliver. Helped make the drink, brought out all the right qualities, de-emphasized the lesser ones. That ice makes a great "mist" too, fill'er to the top, good Scotch or Irish, bourbon, or rye. Straw, twin-type best. Stemmed glass.

Gary, if you have a Sonic Drive Thru near you, they will sell you a big 5lb bag of that ice for $2.00 or so. I pick one up every time I have people over who plan to drink bourbon (or if I need to drink a lot of bourbon to be around those people). Very much worth it.

Currently we have four bottles open;

Old Weller Antique 107 (purchased to infuse with cherries. But I have been drinking what wasn't used for that);

Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit;

Van Winkle Special Reserve 12y/o Lot "B"

Woodford Reserve Single Barrel - This is from PartyMart in Louisville. Picked out by the owner Jerry Rogers and whiskey historian Michael Leach.

As a side note, when I was in PartyMart looking at bourbon, Jerry came over, and talked to me (and my 21 y/o brother-in-law) for a good 20-30 minutes. Even included a joke about how to appreciate scotch, as a customer behind us was picking out a scotch to purchase. Jerry seems like a very nice gentleman, or at the very least fun to talk to.

We also have four bottle of various scotch open. But who cares about scotch?!?!

KC SB from TPS. Why is it this bottle I can't empty fast enough but my FR 2013 SB LE is going way too fast. Injustice I say!!

Damn the torpedoes full speed ahead Jerrod!

Hahaha. Indeed! This bottle had been vexing me. Glad to finish it off. I don't even need the empty bottle support group for this one. :-)

:lol:

With a pour that high, you're liable to drown while nosing...
