bingstein
You should try it, fox. Know it doesn't fit your profile but it is just such a tremendous off the shelf pour.I second this wholeheartedly. I don't know why I dragged my feet by not trying this for a long time. It's a terrific, terrific pour, even at 90 proofs
Clavius
You're a good man, Matt. Imagine that's going to your dad, who I'm sure will be overjoyed? My brother and his wife, actually. I plan on getting them a set of Glencairn's to give with the bottle. Got my dad taken care of earlier in the year with respect to PVW. I wish I could hook up all family members who ask me about VW stuff. Sadly it's just not possible these days. If only I had known what the stuff was 4 years ago when it sat on the shelf... Good on ya Matt but you really shouldn't have.
Old Lamplighter
i saw a whole shelf full of ETL today, $30 a 750, in central louisville. honestly, ive never tried it, even though its one of my friends' favorites. if youre in louisville and wanna know where it is, PM me....i hear its getting hard to findIf I were in Louisville, I'd be much more broke than I already am. :grin:Anyhow, thanks for the heads up just the same. Last time I was there was summer '09...spent a lot of time at the Liquor Barn. As they say, 'like a kid in a candy store'. As 'Dram said, you really ought to try it. I couldn't say it any better than he did, "such a tremendous off the shelf pour". Edited November 11, 2013 by Old Lamplighter
tylermke
· Hidden Hidden Found a local bar with some Vintage 17 (wheated) for $7 a pour. Needless to say, I didn't stop at the first glass. Link to comment

Tony Santana
After first trying it around a campfire this weekend, I went back and snapped up two more bottles of the Bourye before they were gone. And grabbed an OGD BIB as well - I've only had the OGD114, but there are enough around here who think highly of it that it made sense to give it a try. bingstein
Got a PVW20 in somewhat of a miracle of swinging in to a store when I noticed the parking lot wasn't full (this after seeing a 40 person line at 7:45 at another store in town). They were just opening their allocation and one guy was in front of me. I waited about 20 minutes for them to enter it into their system and was on my way. Quite different from last year's experience.
final442
PA had their online sale allocation of PVW except for PVW15 this morning. Missed the announcement by about 15 mins and everything was sold out. I decided to stick around and refresh for a 30 mins or so and got a PVW20 on a possibly cancelled order release. $129 for the PVW20
