I've been patient long enough. I now have 2 so I can open 1. Going to be a nice warm winter.

For you guys that are getting these (PVW, BTAC, LEs) at retail prices do you mind posting them either here or in the thread I started earlier this year? Just for reference purposes.

Thanks to a fantastic SB member (thanks for the heads up highhorse), I purchased an OFBB13, as well as a mini of the KC smoked maple. My new habit is when I buy a bottle, I also buy a mini of something Ive never tried if they have one.

if only everything were available in minis.....i often think that a good many are, but the stores just generally only carry the more popular ones.

id be happy if everything were also offered in 100 or 200ml bottles too.

That would resolve the Pappy and BTAC shortage issue. Then we could hopefully go back to reasonable prices again.

IDK, you might see spirit store shoplifting hit an all-time high. I could just see all these little bottles falling out of gigantic purses, out from under dresses, and others being found by security in unmentionable bodily places....TSA necessary at the liquor stores.

Okay, that was funny. I think my minds eye may have seen something it shouldn't have.

I've said all along that they should release btac and pappy in 375 ml bottles. Goes twice as far, only problem is that on premise accounts wouldn't like it (but I bet they would make due).

Or release gift sets with 3 100mls of 15, 20 and 23.

As a stroke of luck I stopped at a liquor store I had never noticed before. Glad I stopped. Found a Ritt BiB for $20 and a 2013 FR LE SB. I really enjoyed some earlier this year and it was same proof and barrel number. Had to bring them home. :-)

I tried not to buy any this year but I got the calls so I took the bottles...1 VW Lot B, 2 Pappy 15's, 1 Pappy 20, 1 Pappy 23, and 2 VWFRR's were my VW fill for this year. :)

It's still an embarrassment of riches. Did they impose a 7 bottle limit on you, or were you just showing restraint? ;)

Four Roses Small Batch 2013. Is this hard to get? Should I have bought another?

Yes it is hard to get and yes you should have bought another. Very good stuff this year.

Best regards, Tony

My local state controlled liquor store got one case. I picked up one bottle and left the rest since I have another already. $71.

I passed up on several BTOC yesterday (Handy and Eagle Rare) at $95, as well as JPS 18 and FR SmBtch LE from 2010 and 2011 at the same price. Notice the mark-ups on the Stagg and Van Winkle's though, in the below picture! The Four Roses and JPS 18 were difficult to let go, but I've already spent more than enough this Fall on "high end" bourbon and have been lucky with the BTAC, Pappy and 4R LE's. But I simply could not leave without the one bottle of Elijah Craig barrel Proof (3rd batch, 66.6) this store had received which was priced at $42.
