This is IMHO the best restaurant in Indy. If you are nearby on the 18th and have the means you will not be disappointed in the food. And the bourbon looks very interesting as well.

Kentucky Bourbon Dinner

Friday, October 18th

6 courses featuring rare bourbons, followed by cigars

$350 / person including tax and gratuity and a bottle of 1988 Old Weller Antique 107 (Stitzel Weller)

Country Ham, scrambled eggs, sweet corn grits, red eye gravy, maple gastrique

-Old Forester Birthday Bourbon 2013

Chicken liver ravioli, sea urchin sauce, fresh Alaskan king crab legs

-Four Roses Single Barrel Limited Edition 2013

Fischer Farms ribeye cap, smoked mushroom puree, mushroom spinach ragout

-Elijah Craig 21 year (Bardstown)

Bourbon barbeque veal cheeks, Kentucky fried sweetbreads, corn bread

-Parker's Heritage Promise of Hope 7th Edition

Foie Gras torchon "manhatten"

foie gras torchon, hibiscus flower-sweet vermouth gelee, bourbon macerated dried cherries, cocoa nib salt "bitters"

-Jefferson's Reserve Presidential Select 18yr (Stitzel Weller)

Apple chesnut tart & Capriole Farms O'banon goat cheese

-1988 Old Weller Antique 107 (Stitzel Weller)

WOW - that is a great menu with some wonderful bourbon. Need to get my kids out of college so I can do these types of things.

If this were within an hour from me I would definitely RSVP. That's a pretty great value for the cost. Just don't skimp on the pours :toast:

Really wish we could make this one (while I wouldn't necessarily make Recess my #1 restaurant in Indy, its definitely in my top 3), but we have tickets to Ghost Brothers of Darkland County that night.
