Last couple pours of OGD114 in me coffee. Trying to decide if I want to work in the yard today or tomorrow.

Any time that "tomorrow" is an option, I go with that

Tomorrow it is! In fact it has started to rain so I'm off the hook and just opened a EWSB03, so smooth.

Small sip of AAA 10 Star. I picked up a cute little 1oz keychain flask (stainless steel), and needed to test it out - so threw 1 oz of AAA 10 Star in there and left it on its side for a week. Figured if there were suspect welds/materials, a week would be enough time to impact the flavor (as I wouldn't plan on having whiskey in it longer than that). Blind tasted against a pour right from the bottle - zero difference that I could detect.

Sitting on the patio by the pool (our poop deck if you will), misting fan on under the pergola, having a little EC21 with mrs. Dcbt. Steaks and salmon kabobs to go on the grill later. Good strong evening.

WFE 11 yr bottle purchased at the Willett GS a couple of weeks ago. Incredible nose and taste to match.

Little late for the Derby, but since Chrome won the Preakness, (and I picked some fresh mint from my Mom's) made myself a Julep with some Rock Hill Farms.

Worked on the damn house all day so I figured a few older selections were in order.5a5epy6y.jpg

It's been a SB Blend and AAA 10 yr kind of weekend for me. It's tough, but somebody's got to do it!

Repeating last night by starting out 4R Private Selection OESK 57.7% and getting ready to follow up with some Stagg Jr. and BT blend.

went to a friend's house and tried a few from his collection

Eagle Rare 17

Thomas H. Handy Sazerac

Jefferson's Ocean

Evan William's Single Barrel

Maybe I shouldn't have started with the first two because as expected they were really good.

Jefferson's Ocean was okay but nothing compared to the first two and definitely not as good as the Jefferson's PS18.

EWSB was pretty good but again hard to compare with the first two.

sigh...I want a ER17 of my own...

FR OBSF gift shop, down to 100 proof from 125. Then some PHC 6, down to around 110 from 138. Both incredibly delicious

A big pour of CEHT SmB while waiting for the charcoal. Then a big pour of ETL while waiting for the steaks. No contest. ETL all the way! (Even if the prices were reversed, it's still ETL.)

I'm having some FRSB OBSV NCF from the gift shop.

I'll bite, they normally NCF in the GS?
