BFerguson
OGD 114 with just a hint of Chartreuse added and a splash of water. While I'm a fan of the green stuff on its own, I've found that it pairs quite nicely with many bourbons in such simple mixing. B
393foureyedfox
Had Bookers tonight while grilling kabobs. Whoever it was a few weeks ago that made the comment about enjoying bourbon neat when the pour itself was kept in an 85+ degree room was onto something. I noticed this last night with the WT101, and again today with the Booker's.

garbanzobean
Hi All, I am new to the forum! I have currently been enjoying Elmer T. Lee based on a recommendation. After the first taste, I had to pick up a few more bottles! As a fellow newbie, I welcome you to Straightbourbon! Elmer T. Lee is an outstanding choice, and frankly you may be disappointed if and when you try to compare any number of more expensive bourbons to it. Just remember that higher MSRP does not always equate to better bourbon, and you'll be just fine.

kcgumbohead
Some Angels Envy in a manhattan last night, not that I would have known had the menu not stated it, but it was a tasty cocktail.
kwshannon
Overlooked your post k. Do you enjoy this blend. I'm looking for something to improve EC12 for my taste. The EC12 is just not working for me. I was looking for more vanilla and caramel, but this added the rye spice a little too much.
zeppo55
Hi all. New to this board. Been trying all price range bourbons for about a year now to get some tasting experience. Got a goodlesson in price does not equal quality. Was really looking forward to opening my EC21yr last week. Tried it over a few hours andkept getting this unpleasant "Band-Aid" flavor. I will go back to it but that one really hurt my wallet.
TunnelTiger
Last night was all the new WTRB. This bottle was very good when I first opened it but has gotten even better in the last week.I'm not quite ready to proclaim this my favorite WT of all time until I've had a few more bottles.Too many times I've really enjoyed something new only to find that later bottles just don't measure up. sutton
Trying to finish off this ETL. Sometimes it comes off a bit soft, other times thin and tannic. Good, but lacking compared to past bottles. Second pour much better with just a touch of OGD BiB. I'll probably continue adding a bit of OGD until this bottle is gone.
