SB blend is hitting on all cylinders tonight....even think I picked up on a previously undetected muscadine grape note a couple of times.

HHSS with a heavy hand of water. Really digging it tonight toned down from proof.

Bringing out some very nice subtle notes.

SB blend 50/50. Had some Willet 4yo rye before that. So different, yet both delicious.

Convinced my dad to pick up one of the last bottles of DSP 1 Old Fitz BIB I saw at a good shop since it completed my trilogy of having open recent bottles of it, VSOF12, and Old Fitz 1849 so we could taste them all and confirm whether or not we were with the consensus that HH wheaters suck. heh. And they pretty much do.

Going to WTR101 next.

The last of my CEHT Single Barrel. I really enjoy BT Mashbill #1, so this bottle fits squarely in my preference zone. However at the same price as a bottle of Stagg, it does not measure up so I don't feel the need to replace it. There are others that scratch that itch as well or better.

FRSB OESV is just killing it tonight. Lovely dark chocolate covered cherry flavor (that were steeped in bourbon )

A generous pour of ECBP (easy to do when you have accumulated a stash) and now some HMcKBIB, new label. Great way to end the day.

A small pour of Maker's 46. I always find it amazing how the "46 process" (for lack of a better term) so totally transformed this whiskey into something so different, that I have a hard time finding any familial traits between the two. Regardless, I love them both.

Good choice Eric, I'm drinking the exact same thing you are. Jay did a good job picking this barrel.

Standard FRSB, sometimes I love it, sometimes I don't, tonight it's right on.

Before dinner pour of OGD114 with a splash of club soda. Different but OK. Followed by some EWB. Probably not the right order but.... what are ya gonna do? Got both drinks down with no problems.

Trying out my new bottle of Michter's 10. Not bad so far, but I think I need to see what a bit of water will do.

So I picked this guy up Sat. He's great, but I'm thinking the Weller 12 I poured maybe should have been some sort of barrel proofer. HA!

Started with some PVW15 before dinner and ending the night with a pour of FR PS OBSV.

Not enough apparently! Did a side by side of Four Roses the other night. Small Batch on the rocks followed by Single Barrel neat. The Single Barrel was a nice step up in my book, I don't know what version it was as I was in a restaurant. Had some Weller 12 and finished off my bottle of Jefferson's, which was a good bottle but not up to the standards of the 21 year old version which was the first taste I had of the Jefferson, not a fair comparison I know. Not sure what will replace it in the lineup, that's a decision to make over the weekend. Not a great forecast for the upcoming weekend, so the bourbon consumption will be on the upswing.

had a in glass batting of WSR 7yr and some VOB 6yr, equal parts of each.

Thinking of making a bottle of this, as the glass version turned out pretty well.

The VOB brought a little extra wood to the equation that the WSR just doesn't have, and the slightly sweeter taste of the WSR worked in a good balance with what I perceive as a dryer bourbon with the VOB.

A good marriage in the end.
