Paddy
I also went for the AAA 10yr tonight. Just a delicious pour! It will be a sad day when the stocks are gone and the bunkers have all dried up.
mbroo5880i
Enjoy the buzz off that AAA 10 yr. ;-) Yeah, maybe a little more than I wanted early week but I tell myself that I just enjoyed some pretty inexpensive ETL/Blanton's.

It will be a sad day when the stocks are gone and the bunkers have all dried up.Oddly, I consider it a special pour! Maybe not quite on the level of some of the limited pours but one that I try to limit to special occasions. What was tonight's special occasion? I dunno. Trey Manthey
Four Roses LE...the lesser knowns. 2011 Small Batch and 2012 Single Barrel. The 1B is way better.
tylermke
Some PVW15 before bed. I have this thought each time I grab this particular bottle, but it probably has one of the best noses on any bourbon out there. Just awesome.
TunnelTiger
I like 'em too. I hope you get to try the 8 year single barrel cask strength bourbon and rye. I really like the 8 yr bourbon. Good stuff.
Yeti
Four Roses LE...the lesser knowns. 2011 Small Batch and 2012 Single Barrel. The 1B is way better. The 2012 SB is really good.I've been on a small pour kick lately and have worked through a ton of stuff. FRSmBLE12, FRSB NCF, Balcones V single malt and standard single malt, AE Rye, KCSB, OS 8 Bourbon Randall's selection, OF BIB 414, I'm sure some other stuff I don't remember.Last night I attended my office election party (we work in political advertising) and had some Maker's and Sprite which took me back. That was a standard highball for me for years before I started drinking neat whiskey. It was a nice change and brought back good memories.
fishnbowljoe
Got home from work today, and I'm having a nice pour (or two) of FRSB. Yeah I know. I admit that I'm an avowed wheater lover, but a man's gotta do, what a man's gotta do. And for you folks that have been giving me a hard time about my seemingly new found taste for FR's, here, hold this for me….. :slappin:

OutlawSW
Started with some ECBP mixed with EC18, now on to some Stagg JR mixed with Eagle Rare. It's funny, I like ECBP more than Stagg JR but like Eagle Rare more than EC18 and I like both mixes about the same.
jwvoytus
Trying to kill some EC12 that wasn't doing it for me, although it tastes better tonight somehow. I just find it a little thin, even at 94 proof
Phil T
Some among us would have you believe that the NDP's are the evil brethren. I'm thinking SA, HW, and, yes, Luxco are absolutely exceptions. Damn, they source some good whiskey! Tonight, it's OE 101.

Flyfish
Started with CEHT SmB neat in a Glencairn. Major disappointment. For consolation, poured a large EW Blk over ice. Enjoyed it tremendously. Not just in relative terms adjusting for the price per pour but in absolute terms. Tonight, the EW hit the spot after the CEHT failed to deliver. KyleCBreese
Having my first taste of the Four Roses B-Mashbill. A local store I frequent just put out a new Barrel Selection of OBSK (11 years, 6 months)(109 proof). It is scary how drinkable it is. There is zero alcohol burn and goes down so smooth. It also came with a free rocks glass. I might need to stock up.
jonhalter
Poured a ew black and diet coke. Well, 2 or 3. Dont do it often anymore but sometimes its just what you want.

I wonder if there has ever been a poll on favorite FR recipe. I have only tried five. I like OBSV, OBSK and OESK best. Of course, there is always that special barrel of one of the other recipes that comes along.

bourbonfoot
Finished off my Rare Breed/Bernheim vatting. Good stuff, I'm sure I'll revisit. Also finished off my first bottle of one of my favorite private selections ever, an EC12 from a store in TN. Glad to have one more, the nose in this is incredible.
